Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress famous for her performance in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business in the early years of her life. When she turned 16, Alexandra had landed the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also critically acclaimed. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated films that feature models. Alexandra worked on several important international and national projects through the years. They include the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. The actress also served on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
